Every piece of memorabilia you see at JockBio is available for sale! We’re not in the memorabilia business (at least not on purpose) but we know what we paid for this stuff, so if we got a great deal on something, you get a great deal on it, too! Listed below are loads of items we purchased as part of large collections for our various book projects. Some of these pieces are very valuable, and most of them are extremely cool. We have priced this merchandise to move—it doesn’t do us much good just sitting in boxes!

Also, if you see something in a JockBio that is not listed here, simply ask. It may be sold, we may have given it away, or maybe we just haven’t had time to list it. Happy hunting!

Beat Harvard Button
Take a look at some old fan photos from Harvard-Yale games and you’ll spot this button. This oversized “Yale blue” stadium pin looks like it’s from the 1920s or 30s, but we can’t guarantee its age. It’s definitely more than 50 years old. The front is relatively clean, but there is some rust on the back.

A beautiful full-color postcard of the start of the Indianapolis 500, circa mid-1930s. The Depression-era races featured a hodge-podge of vehicles, which can be clearly seen in this photo. His dad won the 120-yard hurdles at the relays in 1927!

Univ. of Vermont Fencing Tobacco Premium
Back at the turn of the century, tobacco companies used to include miniature rugs in their cigarette and cigar boxes. Dad would buy the box, and give his daughter the rug for her doll house. This rug was obviously meant to appeal to men with boys, as it depicts a fencer for the University of Vermont. It is in wonderful condition and, for the collector who appreciates extra bang for the buck, it bears the mark of the cigarette brand on the back: Egyptienne Straights. Could be a salesman’s sample.
