1921
Yankees Full Ticket
This is a highly collectible unused ticket to a game scheduled
for August 3, 1921 between the Yankees and Tigers at the Polo
Grounds. The ticket is complete with the rain check, and bears
the name of club owner Jacob Ruppert. This was pasted into a scrapbook
for many years. The back bears glue stains, but the front is gorgeous,
as you can see. We paid $75 for this item 12 years ago. We’ll
take a loss to find it a more deserving home.
Lou
Gehrig & Dizzy Dean 1935 Record Book
This is a nice copy of the 1935 Sporting News Baseball Record
Book. It features Dizzy Dean on the front and Lou gehrig on the
back. Jam-packed with stats and some fun baseball ads. The cover
is a little rough, but the overall condition is nice—everything
is still tight.

45s. Condition ranges from VG to EX.
John
McGraw Silver Jubilee Menu
A rare and extremely unusual baseball item from a dinner thrown
in John McGraw’s honor at the Hotel Venice in Florida on
March 12, 1927. The occasion was McGraw’s 25th anniversary
as New York Giants manager. The menu has a heavy vertical crease.
What did Hall of Famers eat in 1927? Filet of Pompano and Guinea
Hen were served as the main course, with Crabmeat Cocktail for
openers.
1972

A group of 10 different cards from the psychedelic 1972 baseball
set, including Yastrzemski, Yaz in Action, Billy Williams, Williams

the 1977 Topps cloth test set.
1981
Coke Astros
A complete NMT set of cards from the Coke set distributed in the
Houston area in the summer of 1981. The Nolan Ryan card is the
gem here. Another Hall of Famer, Don Sutton, is also in this set.
Group
of 10 Ted Williams Cards
In 1979, TCMA issued a beautiful set called “The Fifties”
which was made to look like 1953 Bowmans. This lot includes 10
NMT/MT Ted Williams cards from that set. They sell for $5 to $10
at shows, but we don’t plan to go to any shows
Deacon
Phillippe Tobacco Card
A lovely T-205 Deacon Phillippe card from the 1910 era. Phillippe
was one of the pitching stars of the very first World Series,
between the Pirates and Red Sox in 1903. This card has heavy edge
wear but the rest is really nice. We’d grade it a conservative
VG.
Aaron
& Mathews Salada Coins
A pair of 1962 Salada coins of Ed Mathews and Hank Aaron, each
in its own holder. These coins were inserted into boxes of tea,
and there were a lot of variations and errors. Notice that Mathew’s
name is spelled incorrectly. These coins grade out around EX,
with great eye appeal.
Topps
Stamp Album Box
A
wonderful display item that once held the albums for the stamp
insert in Topps baseball cards in the early 1960s. The empty albums
sell for around $25, but we’re not sure what the box is
worth. If you know, tell us—or buy it!
The
Swingin’ A’s Seat Cushion
This heavy rubber blow-up seat cushion commemorates the Oakland
A’s 1972, 73 and 74 World Championships and is 100% old
and original. These were the A’s who weren’t on steroids,
so the pillow won’t be blowing itself up.
Baseball
Cigar Box Labels
Unused and in spectacular condition, these beauties are just begging
to be framed. Very old and absolutely original, each measures
about 5 x 5.

pin, still sealed in its original placard. We’ll throw in
five more players, including the Bernie Williams rookie pictured
here.

featuring Lenny Dykstra, Darren Daulton, John Kruk, and other
daredevils. Signed boldly in blue on the cover by Curt Schilling
over his baseball card image.
Game
Used Bat Insert Cards
Four 1999 Upper Deck cards featuring pieces of bats used by Ben
Grieve, Travis Lee, Darin Erstad and Raul Mondesi. Actually “game-used”
may be something of a misnomer, as these four guys struck out
about 400 times that season. But who’s arguing at this price?
A-Rod
3-D Cards
We’ve got a bunch of these, so you’re getting two
each from the 1995 and 1996 Sport Flix sets, plus a couple of
other A-Rod cards thrown in.

A lovely Ex-Mt example of Sandy’s last card in a Brooklyn
cap. The Dodgers were in LA, but the photo was from 1957.

him beaming after his 715th home run. It comes with a certificate
of authenticity.
Aaron

Given out to buyers of Magnavox televisions in 1974. We know
the guy who had this in his wallet back in 1975, and it’s
in remarkably good shape considering.
Miguel
Tejada Autograph
A certified autographed card of 2002 MVP Miguel tejada from the
SkyBox Autographics set.
Mark
McGwire Rookie Card
A
1985 Mark McGwire rookie. The condition is EXMT+, but the cut
is just a little bit off—so we're practically giving it
away!
Jennie
Finch Autographed bat
A beautiful full-sized
wood bat signed by softball diva and Olympic gold medalist Jennie
Finch. The autograph is in bold, blue Sharpie. It comes with a
certificate of authenticity from Consolidated Sports in Philadelphia.
